Homebrew Competition and Beer Weekend

Events open to all appreciators of good beer!
Friday February 16

6-10p Belgian and Belgian-style Beer Reception and Stinky Cheese Tasting

on the outdoor patio at The Grand Cru Wine Cellar

25+ Belgian Style Beers (surprise beers last year had the total at 40... look for non-standard sizes)

Various cheese from around the world (including 3 types of Chimay). Appetizers will be served.

Beer paraphernalia giveaways

Non-beer drinkers (shudder) are welcome to participate in Grand Cru’s regular Friday Wine tasting event. Cost is $12.

Saturday February 17

7-8:30 Deluxe Continental Breakfast courtesy of Dunedin Brewery – Masters Inn poolside

9-4p Judging at the State Fair

free parking

spouses and offspring can attend the fair for free (limited ticket quantities available)

4-7:30p Florida Brewers Guild Beer Festival

event held at the outdoor courtyard of the Ice Palace alongside the Garrison Channel

20 Florida Brewpubs and Microbreweries, 50-60 craft Florida beers

food vendors provided by the Ice Palace

cost is $10 day of for Judges and Stewards. All others $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

7-10p Krewe of the Knights of Sant' Yago Illuminated Night Parade

largest night parade in the South! Starts near the Ice Palace and goes the next three hours in Ybor.

7:30-11p Tampa Bay Lightning vs. NY Rangers at the Ice Palace

very limited amount of tickets left for this rivalry. Ticket prices vary, see payment worksheet

8-1a Pub Crawl of the good beer bars of Ybor

local brewer guided tour navigates you to good beer and food thru the 60,000 plus parade crowd.

Homebrew keg competition - no entry fee, bring keg day of, CO2 provided.

Premier prizes for people’s choice award 1^st, 2^nd, and 3rd.

Homebrewer Beer Olympics (Keg Toss, Bungee Drink and Pull, Team Chug)
Homebrews from the Florida State Fair competition
Beer from Ybor City Brewing Company, Hops, Brooker Creek, Dunedin Brewery
Presentation of ribbons and awards from competition
Presentation of the Florida Cup for the "Best Homebrew Club in Florida"
Presentation of the Peoples Choice award to the winner of the keg competition.
